Opening the batting he pummeled 203 not out in the 50 over allocation. This score beat his brother Ryan's score for Yorkshire U15's of 141 not out the previous sunday, by some 62 runs. Liam has been in good form all season, hitting four scores of over 50 for the first team in the first 6 weeks of the season. |

| York Senior League Round-up |
Thirsk made the trip to Acomb this week after demolishing regaining champions Clifton Alliance just a week ago. With the exception of Andy Tute and Andy Fong, Acomb’s batting line up failed to function when chasing Thirsk’s 152-6 and they were dismissed for 123. Tute made 47 and Fong 25 but the effective combination of Barry Petty 4-45 and Dave Towse 3-37 again had the last word. Earlier Liam Mckendry had hit 63 and Gary Bolton 28 as Dave Sykes posed problems with 4 for 48 but was unable to prevent Thirsk moving in to second place. |

| Thirsk's second eleven continued there recent improvement as they claimed another positive result to follow last weeks win at Sessay. After losing the toss and being inserted to bat Thirsk made a good start with Mark Cook (39) and Mark Wainwright (44) taking the score to 88-1, before both falling in quick succession. Hew Willaims (20) and Ben England (27*) then moved the scoring on before Ant Elders blasted a 5 over 40 not out to boost the score to 210-5 in the full allocation of overs. In reply Selby never got going with Ben England demolishing the top order taking 4-32 in 10 overs. Ant Elders and Mark Wainwright also chipped in with 2 wickets each but Selby held out for a loosing draw with 2 wickets remaining. |

| Thirsk v Stockton - Cockspur Cup 2nd round |
| The second round of the Cockspur Cup saw Northern Premier League side Stockton travel to the racecourse ground to face an in-form Thirsk side. The Stockton outfit containing a handful of Durham contracted and academy players won the toss and inserted the home side into bat. In the opening exchanges Des Wyrill (25) struck some lusty blows, whilst also being struck by a few blows from the Stockton opening bowlers, before being dismissed by Karl Turner. Liam McKendry and Garry Bolton put together a solid 2nd wicket partnership to frustrate the Stockton bowlers and take Thirsk to 158-1 before both falling in quick succession to the spin bowling of captain Richard Waite. Thirsk's skipper Dave Towse hit a quick fire 27 to carry the Herriots up to a competitive 214-4 in the 45 over allocation. |

| Thirsk knew they would have to get off to a flying start in the field however Guy Darwin (28) of Stockton came out with the same idea, before being trapped leg-before by Dave Towse. Durham all-rounder Karl Turner and captain Richard Waite then progressed to score to 57 before Mark Cook struck to remove Waite. Ryan McKendry (2-39) and Mark Cook (2-39) then turned the screw on the middle order of the Northern League side, aided by two fine stumpings from Graham Wrightson. At 133-4, Thirsk skipper Dave Towse knew it was time to go for broke and re-introduced himself into the attack, this was justified with two wickets in 3 balls. Harry Anderson (26*) and Andrew Parr (22*) put together a 42 run 9th wicket stand, however this was not enough to carry the away side to victory leaving Stockton stranded on 204-8 after 45 overs. Another fantastic team performance leaves Thirsk in the 3rd round draw facing either Chester-le-street or Norton. |
